Virtual poster sessions can take different forms, and can reply on pre-recorded videos for the presentations or a live, synchronous classroom (e.g. Zoom) for interactive presenting with Q&A.
AGU holds a regular virtual poster showcase, in which participants submit a poster as a digital file and a 5 minute video presentation. This format allows for an asynchronous poster session with pre-recorded presentations.
The DLI virtual poster session was built in a Wordpress blog. Posters are listed on a main page, and each poster has its own page with the poster file at the top and a comments section, in which viewers and presenters can carry on dialogue in text form. Presenters were asked to attend to questions over a defined period of time; what you see here is the archive of the event.
